Who am I
My name is Lindsey Hendrickx, and I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) based out of sunny Cooper City, Florida. I’m here to provide in-home and virtual support from pregnancy until weaning.
My journey began more than 15 years ago in Belgium as a midwife. Along the way, I specialized in Neonatal intensive care, Pharmacology for Midwives, and Lactation Consultancy.
Fast forward to 2022, I proudly earned my IBCLC certification, keeping me at the forefront of evidence-based breastfeeding care.
With over 15 years of experience in Belgian hospitals and as an independent midwife, my passion remains as vibrant as when I started.
What keeps my flame alive? Educating, guiding, and empowering expecting couples and new families in the wonderful yet sometimes challenging world of breastfeeding.
In October 2022, my family and I made the exciting move from Belgium to Florida.
My goal here is to introduce a touch of European-style healthcare to the community, providing exceptional support for breastfeeding and newborn care.

Breastfeeding Education
A course designed to prepare expectant couples for the world of breastfeeding, covering the mechanics of breastfeeding, what to expect, how to navigate the breastfeeding journey, tips to overcome potential challenges.
Proactive breastfeeding support
Education and planning during pregnancy to make informed choices with confidence. I'll provide guidance with standard home visits at key intervals in the initial days, weeks, and months, addressing potential challenges proactively. Additional home visits can be scheduled as needed.
Emergency Breastfeeding Support
If you encounter unexpected breastfeeding challenges without opting for proactive support, we provide immediate assistance through emergency support to swiftly guide you. After the initial visit, follow-up visits are scheduled to ensure a smooth breastfeeding journey.

OPTION 1: INSURANCE COVERAGE WITH THE LACTATION NETWORK
I contract with The Lactation Network, an organization that helps parents get the breastfeeding support they deserve, covered by their insurance. The Lactation Network is partnered with *some* insurance plans and guarantees lactation consultations for clients who are pre-approved at no out-of-pocket cost to you (the patient/client). The Lactation Network handles the paperwork and bills your insurance directly; I am not involved in the financial arrangements with your insurance provider. Pre-approval is needed for this type of coverage and it takes only a minute of your time. In general, this does not work for Federal plans; see below for another option.

OPTION 3: GET YOUR CONSULTANT “IN NETWORK” WITH YOUR INSURANCE

OUT-OF-POCKET PAYMENT & INSURANCE
Parents paying out-of-pocket: I will not file claims with your insurance company. I will give you the forms necessary to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement of the cost of the consult; reimbursement is not guaranteed. See the file above for information on how to get me “in network” with your insurance provider. You may also submit the forms to your health care spending account. An order is not needed for me, though you will want one in order to file with your insurance. Usually, the order is obtained from baby’s care provider or your OB/Midwife and is submitted for the lactating parent.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment and cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time, you will be charged a fee of $150. I schedule only one client per appointment time period. Cancelled appointments are not only frustrating for me, but also for other clients in need of our services. Call to cancel: 954-3972774
